Confabulation is a memory error in which the brain fills in the blanks with false memories, though the person is not aware that these memories are false.

When someone confabulates, they’re compensating for part of a memory that has been lost. Confabulation is not malicious—the person believes the memory to be true, despite being partially invented.

Confabulation is honest lying.

Scents often produce strong reactions, and we draw upon memory to contextualize those reactions, but sometimes the picture is incomplete. Our debut trio explores what it means to let smell confabulate for you, to let it fill in the blanks. We hope that in our fragrances you find a beautiful memory to linger on as your senses honestly lie to you.
